Residents from across the community came together yesterday, Saturday 9th May, for a successful and enjoyable Spring Picnic hosted by Streethay Parish Council at Streethay Play Park.
The event created a fantastic community atmosphere, with families and neighbours enjoying a relaxed afternoon outdoors while taking part in a range of activities.
The Parish Council was delighted to offer free candy floss, hot dogs and face painting, which proved extremely popular throughout the day.
A number of charities and community organisations attended to support the event and engage with residents, including St Giles Hospice and the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust.
There were also plenty of opportunities for children and families to get involved in games and activities, with support from AFC Fradley, Lichfield Active, and Little Sprouts Forest School. Activities included Dart Football competition, soft archery, rounders, pick-up-and-play sports equipment and parachute games.
The event highlighted the strong community spirit within Streethay and provided a valuable opportunity for residents of all ages to come together, meet local organisations and enjoy the park and open space.
Streethay Parish Council would like to thank all volunteers, organisations, vendors and residents who supported the event and helped make it such a success.
